Free Initial Consultation
If you are interested in working with me, our first step will be to connect by phone for 20 minutes. There is no charge for this initial consultation.
The point of this initial phone contact will be to give me a clearer sense of your therapeutic goals and to give you a sense of whether we’d be a good match.

If during the course of our talk I get the sense that my therapeutic style is unlikely to be effective for your situation I will let you know and will make appropriate referrals whenever possible.

***Please note that the free 20 minute consultation will not be a therapy session.  Again, it is a chance to clarify your goals and our level of therapeutic fit so that we can get right down to work in our first session.***

Psychotherapy Fees (in person, Skype or telephone):
My fee is $200 per hour for individuals.

Making therapy affordable for you:
If you are unable afford my full fee I offer a sliding scale, the details of which we can discuss during the initial consultation.

I leave it to you to tell me where you fit on my sliding scale and won’t probe you about your financial situation or request evidence of income or financial status. I’ll ask you to determine where you fit on my sliding scale and let me know before our first session.

One way to make therapy more affordable with me is to schedule appointments every other week. In Coherence Therapy a lot happens in between sessions, so this is an effective option for many of my clients with limited budgets.

Payment Options
I accept payment by check, cash, credit card or Paypal.

For remote clients I use Square, a secure internet payment processor. I keep your card on file and charge it after each session. to send invoices payable by Paypal or credit card (Visa or MasterCard)

Can I Use Insurance to Pay for Therapy?
I’m not on any insurance panels but your insurance may reimburse you for all or part of our sessions. I don’t deal with insurance companies directly, but provide documentation to request reimbursement from your insurance company, if applicable.

If you have a PPO your insurance will most likely cover at least a portion of therapy. You will pay a higher co-pay for me as an out-of-network provider, but you may find that worth it in order to have a good connection with your therapist.
